Turbocharging
Our Turbo Conversions have been developed with quality and reliability in mind.
We have a wealth of experience in Turbo Charger Engineering, and we offer customers
either a ‘Complete Turbo Conversion Kit’ or ‘Basic Turbo Kit’ for Saxo models. We
also offer a ‘Basic Turbo Kit’ for C2 1.6 16v models.
Saxo VTR & VTS Complete Turbo Conversions
The Complete Turbo Conversion Kits are dedicated to the Saxo VTR 8v and VTS 16v
engines. The ‘Entry Level’ kit has been specially designed by Cituning as a 'bolt
on kit' giving a minimum of +30-40bhp at 6psi boost.
It isn’t only the power increase achieved when fitting one of these kits, but more
importantly the torque is significantly improved making the car easier and safer
to drive especially in overtaking situations. For further significant power and
torque increases we have developed extra ‘Stages’. All kits can be tailored to your
requirements, so please contact us for assistance.
For starters we offer the ‘Entry Level’ kit. This bolt on kit has been specially
designed by Cituning as a ‘bolt on kit’ and requires no internal modifications,
giving a minimum of +30-40bhp at 6psi boost. We have developed all further modifications
and Stages so they can be directly added at a later date when more power is required,
for example, we can offer the more ardent enthusiast Forged Pistons, a Low Compression
Cylinder Head, Dump Valve, Fifth Injector, Intercooler, 2 Stage Boost and Water
Injection. Alternatively, the full Stage 3 conversion can be fitted at the outset!
The Two Stage Boost and Water Injection have been specially developed to produce
power without detonation. Derived from the same systems used on current ‘World Rally
Cars’ the high boost setting is activated with a dash-mounted button.
We can fit these conversions in our workshop and would need the car for approx 2
days to complete the work. We charge around £600 for fitting the ‘Entry Level’ kit
with oil and coolant. For the more hands on we can supply the kit for D.I.Y. along
with detailed fitting instructions including pictures.
In general the ‘Entry Level’ kit for Saxo models consists of the following parts:

· Stainless Downpipe (inc. Sport Cat provision for Twin Lambda 01> VTR only)
· Stainless Air Pipe
· Silicone Hose Connections

· Silicone Hoses as required
· Aeroquip Oil Feed Pipe & Non-Return Valve
· Aeroquip Oil Cooler Hoses & 10 Row Oil Cooler
· Remote Oil Filter Kit
· Modified Sump
· Heatshield, Mounting Brackets & Hardware
Please Note:
For engines running more than 9/10psi boost we recommend that low compression pistons
are fitted. This is particularly important when our type S turbo is fitted in the
conversion.

C2 1.6 16v GT / VTR / VTS
Unfortunately, we do not offer a turbo kit for the C2 TU5JP4 engine. The process of turbocharging the C2 engine is far more complex than for example the Saxo engine, for which we have produced a very successful kit. There are several major parts which require relocation, a new radiator needs fitting plus a throttle cable and stand alone ECU are also required. Therefore, we are only able to turbocharge the car in our workshop as a bespoke job, which would cost in the region of £7,000.00

We are also offering an 1800cc Stroker kit which converts the 1.6 engine to 1.8.
This can be fitted with either or turbo conversion kits or on the standard normally
aspirated engine.
1800cc Stroker Conversion Kit

We can either supply just these parts or to complete this we bore the block 80mm
and relieve the block for the extra throw of the rods.
A Saxo VTR ’51 converted to 1800cc and combined with the Stage 3 turbo conversion
and 300bhp spec turbocharger was running with 240bhp at 12psi boost! Something we
are very pleased to publish!
